According to Vatican News, 1,128 delegates representing 41 countries are expected to participate, alongside bishops, priests and religious sisters.
The gathering celebrates four decades of the movement’s history and ten years since its pontifical recognition.
Originating in Kerala, India, Jesus Youth has developed into an international network dedicated to prayer, evangelization and the formation of young Catholics.
What Is on the Programme?
The conference will explore four principal themes: communion, mission, participation and sending.
The programme begins with an arrival day on October 20, followed by sessions dedicated to growing together in faith, missionary engagement and participation in the life of the Church.
The final day, October 25, is scheduled to include a closing Mass celebrated by Bishop Alex Joseph Vadakumthala of Kannur, the movement’s ecclesiastical adviser.
The organizers’ official information also identifies opportunities for spiritual reflection and interaction among participants from different countries.
